Cyberpunk Legend Arrives: Apple TV+ Releases First Trailer for Neuromancer
Following yesterday’s spotlight on Blade Runner 2099, another towering titan of cyberpunk literature is heading to the screen. Apple TV showcased the very first teaser trailer and poster for their upcoming series, Neuromancer, during San Diego Comic-Con.
Neuromancer is scheduled to make its global premiere on January 22, 2027, exclusively on Apple TV. The ten-episode inaugural season will launch with its first two episodes, followed by new weekly episodes every Friday. The series is co-created by Graham Roland (Fringe) and J.D. Dillard (The Outsider), with Dillard directing the first three episodes. The production features an elite ensemble cast:

Adapted from William Gibson’s seminal 1984 novel of the same name, Neuromancer is widely considered a classic work of the cyberpunk genre. It remains the only novel in literary history to win the three science fiction literature awards, Hugo Award, Nebula Award, and Philip K. Dick Award. The show follows a damaged, top-rung super-hacker named Case (Turner) who is thrust into a web of digital espionage and high-stakes crime with his partner Molly (Middleton), a razor-girl assassin, as they pull off a heist on a corporate dynasty with untold secrets. While the original novel's opening acts are set in Chiba City, Japan, the live-action production shot extensive location sequences on site in Tokyo. Gibson subsequently expanded the narrative into the famous Sprawl Trilogy with two follow-up novels, Count Zero and Mona Lisa Overdrive—leaving fans eager to see if Apple TV+ will renew the series to adapt the entire trilogy.
