Before the Underground: Silo Season 3 Trailer Promises Dual Timelines and Catastrophic Answers
Among major streaming platforms, Apple TV has consistently funneled significant resources into sci-fi programming, yielding highly acclaimed results. Among their flagship titles, Silo is gearing up for its Season 3 premiere, recently unveiling a gripping official trailer.
Silo Season 3 will premiere on Apple TV on July 3. True to the format of previous seasons, this installment will consist of ten episodes, with Graham Yost (Justified) continuing his role as showrunner. Returning cast members include Rebecca Ferguson, Common, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, Alexandria Riley, Shane McRae, Remmie Milner, Rick Gomez, Billy Postlethwaite, and Clare Perkins. They are joined by new series regulars Jessica Henwick (The Matrix Resurrections) and Ashley Zukerman (Fear Street), both of whom briefly appeared in flashback sequences at the tail end of last season. Other fresh additions to the cast include Laura Innes (ER), Jessica Brown Findlay (Downton Abbey), Tony Award winner Reed Birney, Matt Craven (Sharp Objects), and Colin Hanks (Nobody 2).
Season three of Silo reveals an origin story set centuries earlier, while continuing the saga of a dystopian society of 10,000 people living underground under mysterious circumstances. In the present, Juliette Nichols (Ferguson) survives her forced “cleaning” but returns with memory loss as the silo recovers from rebellion and faces a dangerous new threat. Meanwhile, in the “Before Times,” journalist Helen Drew (Jessica Henwick) and Congressman Daniel Keene (Ashley Zukerman) uncover a conspiracy that pulls them into a chain of events with catastrophic, irreversible consequences.
Since its debut in 2023, Silo has been a critical darling, securing two British Academy Television Craft Awards for its inaugural season. The sophomore season followed in 2024 to even stronger reviews. Apple TV has already officially renewed the series for a fourth and final season, which reportedly wrapped principal photography a few months ago. While Silo is drawing closer to its ultimate conclusion, Apple TV remains the definitive home for premium science fiction. Its robust lineup includes the final upcoming season of For All Mankind, Foundation, the multi-Emmy-nominated thriller Severance, alongside brand-new expansions to their catalog like the newly debuted Pluribus and the For All Mankind spin-off series, Star City.
