The Office Spin-off Series, The Paper, Unveils Official Trailer!
The Office is coming back, but this time, the spin-off series will center on a different workplace.
The Paper, a spin-off of the Emmy-winning comedy series The Office, will premiere on StackTV on September 4th, with four episodes available on the first day. The series is created by Greg Daniels, the Emmy-winning creator of the US version of The Office, and Michael Koman, a writer for Late Night with Conan O'Brien. The cast features Domhnall Gleeson (Star Wars sequel trilogy), Sabrina Impacciatore (The White Lotus Season 2), Melvin Gregg (High Flying Bird), and Ramona Young (Never Have I Ever). Oscar Nunez will also reprise his role as accountant Oscar Martinez from the original series. The documentary crew that immortalized Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch in the Emmy Award-winning series The Office find a new subject when they discover a historic Midwestern newspaper and the publisher trying to revive it.
The Office first aired in 2005 as an adaptation of the British series of the same name. It ran for nine seasons, and star Steve Carell won a Golden Globe for his performance. After The Office, Greg Daniels and writer Michael Schur created another critically acclaimed comedy, Parks and Recreation. In recent years, Daniels has created shows for streaming platforms like Upload (Prime Video) and Space Force (Netflix), which received mixed reviews. This new series, "The Paper," returns to the style and format of The Office, and fans are hoping it can capture the same critical success.
