Game of Thrones Actor Alfie Allen Joins Netflix's 3 Body Problem Season 2!
A year after its first season premiered, filming for the second season of Netflix's 3 Body Problem is officially underway, and new cast members have been announced.
Claudia Doumit (The Boys) and Alfie Allen (Game of Thrones) are set to join the cast of Netflix's 3 Body Problem Season 2.
Netflix announced last week that 3 Body Problem Season 2 has begun filming in Budapest, Hungary. Claudia Doumit (The Boys) and Ellie de Lange will join the main cast, while Alfie Allen (Game of Thrones), David Yip, and Jordan Sunshine will appear in supporting roles. Season 1 episode director Jeremy Podeswa and Game of Thrones director Miguel Sapochnik—known for helming major episodes like Battle of the Bastards and The Long Night—will direct this season.
3 Body Problem premiered last year, earning an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Drama Series, and Netflix quickly renewed it for a second and third season. The series is an adaptation of the acclaimed novel series of the same name, created by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss (Game of Thrones) and Alexander Woo (The Terror). The first season primarily adapted the plot of the first book: a young woman’s fateful decision in 1960s China reverberates across space and time into the present day. When the laws of nature inexplicably unravel before their eyes, a close-knit group of brilliant scientists join forces with an unorthodox detective to confront the greatest threat in humanity’s history. The finale of the first season also included elements from the "Wallfacer" storyline of the second novel, The Dark Forest, which is expected to continue in the new season.
