Netflix Unveils Official Trailer for A House of Dynamite, an Explosive New Thriller from the Director of Zero Dark Thirty
The Oscars winning director of The Hurt Locker, Kathryn Bigelow, has a new film hitting screens after an eight-year hiatus. Netflix recently released the official trailer for her highly anticipated political thriller, A House of Dynamite.
A House of Dynamite, directed by Oscar-winning director Kathryn Bigelow (The Hurt Locker, Zero Dark Thirty) and written by Noah Oppenheim (Jackie), will be released on Netflix on October 24. The cast includes Golden Globe Best Actor winner Idris Elba (Thor franchise, Luther), Rebecca Ferguson (Dune franchise), Gabriel Basso (The Night Agent), BAFTA Best Actor winner Jared Harris (Chernobyl), Tracy Letts (Little Women), Anthony Ramos (Transformers: Rise of the Beasts), Moses Ingram (The Queen's Gambit), Jonah Hauer-King (The Little Mermaid), Greta Lee (Past Lives), and Jason Clarke (Pet Sematary). When a single, unattributed missile is launched at the United States, a race begins to determine who is responsible and how to respond.
Kathryn Bigelow’s 2008 film, The Hurt Locker, won six Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay. Bigelow made history by becoming the first woman to win the Oscar for Best Director. Her 2012 film, Zero Dark Thirty, earned five Oscar nominations, including Best Picture, and won for Best Sound Editing. The crew of A House of Dynamite is also exceptional, including two-time Oscar-winning editor Kirk Baxter (The Social Network, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), Oscar-winning composer Volker Bertelmann (All Quiet on the Western Front), and BAFTA-winning cinematographer Barry Ackroyd (The Hurt Locker). The film premiered last month at the Venice Film Festival and was one of the best-reviewed films of the festival.
