Zootopia 2! Latest Trailers for Three Highly Anticipated Animated Films!!
With summer approaching, many are surely looking forward to watching animated films with their families in cinemas. Here are the latest trailers for several animated films that have recently been released:
Predator: Killer of Killers, Premiering June 6th on Disney+
Directed and created by Dan Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane, Prey) and Micho Robert Rutare, this film was secretly directed by Trachtenberg while he was directing the next live-action Predator film, Predator: Badlands. It features the voices of Louis Ozawa Changchien (Jack Ryan), Rick Gonzalez (Arrow), and Michael Biehn (The Terminator). The anthology story follows three of the fiercest warriors in human history: a Viking raider guiding her young son on a bloody quest for revenge; a ninja in feudal Japan who turns against his Samurai brother in a brutal battle for succession; and a WWII pilot who takes to the sky to investigate an otherworldly threat to the Allied cause. But while all these warriors are killers in their own right, they are merely prey for their new opponent — the ultimate killer of killers.
Predator: Badlands, also directed by Dan Trachtenberg, will be released in cinemas this November. It stars Elle Fanning (Maleficent series) as the android Thia. The film is set in the future on a remote planet, where a young Predator, outcast from his clan, finds an unlikely ally in Thia (Fanning) and embarks on a treacherous journey in search of the ultimate adversary.
The Bad Guys 2, Premiering August 1st in Canada
The film continues to be directed by Pierre Perifel, who helmed the first installment. In addition to the returning cast, new additions this time include Danielle Brooks (A Minecraft Movie), Critics' Choice Award winner for Best Supporting Actress Maria Bakalova (Borat Subsequent Moviefilm), and Natasha Lyonne (Russian Doll).
In the new action-packed chapter from DreamWorks Animation’s acclaimed comedy smash about a crackerjack crew of animal outlaws, our now-reformed Bad Guys are trying (very, very hard) to be good, but instead find themselves hijacked into a high-stakes, globe-trotting heist, masterminded by a new team of criminals they never saw coming: The Bad Girls.
Zootopia 2, Premiering November 26th in Canada
The film is directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard (Encanto), with Bush also writing the screenplay. In addition to Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman returning to voice Judy Hopps the rabbit and Nick Wilde the fox, respectively, Ke Huy Quan (Everything Everywhere All at Once) will voice Gary the snake, who is being pursued by the duo. Colombian singer Shakira and Emmy winner Quinta Brunson (Abbott Elementary) will voice Gazelle and Dr. Fuzzby the quokka, respectively.
Last year, Jared Bush took over from Jennifer Lee as the Chief Creative Officer of Disney Animation, with Lee focusing on writing and directing the Frozen series sequels. Moana 2, which was co-written by Bush and released late last year, surpassed its predecessor at the box office, grossing over a billion dollars and becoming the third highest-grossing film of last year. The first Zootopia also grossed over a billion dollars. If this sequel can surpass its predecessor's box office, it would be a very strong start for Jared Bush in his new role. Next, Disney Animation is expected to release an original film next year, followed by Frozen III in 2027.
In the all-new story, Nick and Judy find themselves on the twisting trail of a mysterious reptile who arrives in Zootopia and turns the animal metropolis upside down. To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before.
