Final Destination Bloodlines: A Recap of the Major Accident Scenes from the First Five Films!

Final Destination: Bloodlines, the sixth film in the Final Destination series, is set to be released this week, fourteen years after the last installment hit theaters. Each film in this series kicks off with a massive accident, which a group of protagonists narrowly escape, only to be relentlessly pursued by Death, leading to a series of gruesome and interconnected incidents.

Before catching the new movie, here's a look back at the large-scale accidents that the protagonists managed to avoid in the previous five films:

Final Destination: Plane Crash

Final Destination 2: Highway Car Crash

Final Destination 3: Rollercoaster Accident

The Final Destination: Auto Race Car Crash

Final Destination 5: Bridge Collapse

Final Destination Bloodlines

Directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, with a screenplay by Guy Busick (Ready or Not and the Scream series), Lori Evans Taylor and Jon Watts (Tom Holland’s Spider-Man trilogy), Final Destination: Bloodlines will see the return of Tony Todd, who has played the knowing funeral home owner in previous installments and sadly, this will be one of his final performances. Plagued by a violent recurring nightmare, college student Stefanie heads home to track down the one person who might be able to break the cycle and save her family from the grisly demise that inevitably awaits them all.

In the previous films, the protagonists would foresee a major accident before it happened, allowing them to escape in time and indirectly save others. However, these characters would then meet their demise in subsequent accidents, with the order of their deaths mirroring the original accident's death order. Therefore, the protagonists needed to figure out the death sequence and save themselves and others in time. From the trailer, Final Destination: Bloodlines seems to have a different setup. The one who narrowly escapes the large-scale accident is not the protagonist but her grandmother. Because the grandmother escaped Death's grasp, her entire family is now targeted. Thus, the protagonist is no longer trying to save strangers or friends but her own family, and the order of death appears to be based on their birth order.
