Severance and The White Lotus Lead 2025 Emmy Nominations!

The nominations for the annual Primetime Emmy Awards were announced today, with Severance and The White Lotus currently leading the pack with ten nominations each.

This year's Emmy Awards ceremony will take place on September 14th. In the Drama Series categories, Severance Season 2 (Apple TV+) and The White Lotus Season 3 (HBO) are tied for the most nominations with ten each. Severance received six Emmy nominations for its first season, and its second season has now garnered ten, including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actor (Adam Scott), Outstanding Lead Actress (Britt Lower), three nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor (Zach Cherry, Tramell Tillman, and John Turturro), and Outstanding Supporting Actress (Patricia Arquette). The White Lotus competed in the Limited Series category for its first season, winning five awards. Last season, it competed in the Drama Series category and won one award. This season, it continues in the Drama Series category with ten nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series, three nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor (Walton Goggins, Jason Isaacs, and Sam Rockwell), and four nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress (Carrie Coon, Parker Posey, Natasha Rothwell, and Aimee Lou Wood).

In the Comedy Series categories, Apple TV+'s new series The Studio leads with seven nominations, including Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actor (Seth Rogen), Outstanding Supporting Actor (Ike Barinholtz), and two nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress (Kathryn Hahn and Catherine O'Hara). The show features numerous Hollywood stars and directors in guest roles, with two Oscar-winning directors, Martin Scorsese and Ron Howard, even receiving nominations for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series at the Creative Arts Emmys. FX's The Bear, which won six awards for its first season and four for its second, has received six nominations for its third season, including Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actor (Jeremy Allen White), Outstanding Lead Actress (Ayo Edebiri), Outstanding Supporting Actor (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), and Outstanding Supporting Actress (Liza Colón-Zayas). Notably, Ayo Edebiri also received a nomination for Outstanding Directing.

In the Limited or Anthology Series categories, Netflix's Adolescence leads with eight nominations, including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series, Outstanding Lead Actor (Stephen Graham), two nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor (Owen Cooper and Ashley Walters), and two nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress (Erin Doherty and Christine Tremarco). HBO's DC series The Penguin received seven nominations, including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series, Outstanding Lead Actor (Colin Farrell), Outstanding Lead Actress (Cristin Milioti), and Outstanding Supporting Actress (Deirdre O'Connell).
